When Katrina and Rita hit New Orleans and the gulf coast many movie,tv and music stars held benefits and gave money to help. Where are they now? The midwestern area of our country has been ravaged by devastating floods. The Red Cross is right there, on borrowed money, to help. How come our high profile Brad Pitt, Bruce Springsteen and Bono types are not jumping in to raise money to help?

I agree where are the American people for the people in the midwest? The town of Columbus, Indiana totally flooded. Another town in Indiana was also destroyed. I know that in my state alone of 37 counties were declared destaster areas. In Wisconsin, many towns floods. I saw a house floating on the river. Iowa, the pictures I saw was just as bad as here in Indiana. The worst part of it all, there is more rain on the way, so it may get worst before it gets better.

Well, at least people can be proud of those wonderful nobodies who are not rich or famous but make the effort to help out those in need. I have seen stories of people coming from all over to help fill sandbags and help any way they can. They are the real help. But money will be needed to pay for the clean up and I am afraid many people who have lost so much will have no help. God Bless them.

I guess there are not movie stars from the Midwest. Also, it hasn't been one large disaster but a series of storms over several days. That is my guess.

Maybe so. Since there are so many towns and areas destroyed due to the recent storms and flooding maybe they don't know where to start. Of course I could be wrong I know there are some "stars" that do a lot of things to help others without any publicity.
