presidential aspirants wife stealing recipes

i heard on CNN today that presidential aspirants like McCain's wife and former democrats presidential contestant hilary clinton in a cookie competition used recipes that existed somewhere else on the internet or on some recipe books, only michelle obama cookie recipe is yet to be found elsewhere.

I don't quite understand how Hilary Clinton and McCain's wife can be ruled as stealing recipes when there are so many recipes out there and yes of course you are going to find mulitple recipes that are the same. Just because Michelle Obama's has not been found yet doesn't mean that there is no one out there in this world that doesn't have the same one that she used.

Do you expect them to have a family recipes hidden somewhere under the family tree.
