How much would you get paid for finding the cure for AIDS?

I think it would all depend on what they did with the cure, if they gave it to the NHS then they would not get much for it, but if they kept it to themselves then they could sell it privately for a large amount of money. Huge cures only make money based on the sales rather than their availability. Therefore to help lots of people it is better if someone linked to the NHS finds the cure rather than someone who is looking to get money out of it, because if those people created it then it would not be mass produced and many people would still die of AIDs.
