In school, we must learn Maths. What do you think about this subject? Is it hard? Do you love it?

Well i can tell you that math is not one of my most favorite subjects. I dealt with it in school because i had to. I had to pass the clss in oreder to be promoted to the next grade or else i would have failed. But now that i am in college. Being a nursing major, i dont see where all of this math is needed. But i guess when you learn it you will not forget what you learned. And i have never heard that too much learning has hurt anyone before. But give me literature or reading over math any day and i will take it quick fast and in a hurry.

I am not saying I like nor dislike math. In a way or the other, math subject interests me. In our daily life, math is always there. If you pay attention to it, you'll like it more than hate it for life. It's just a matter of practice...then you'll perfect it. Don't be frustrated whenever you don't get the right answer, it means you still have to practice more. Take care =)

First of all - there's nothing to learn in maths. The golden rule of maths or any subject for the matter is : UNDERSTANDING AND PRACTICE. Well, i do love maths as it's my favorite subject. Being hard does not mean it's not worth giving it a try, rather it says try even harder.

Math and me just don't mix well , and I have never been good at it . Something with number I just never understood . Well, basic is fine with me , and math is in everyday living , so atleast I know how to get by .

I don't mind Mathematics and I don't find it too hard. The only thing I can really say about the difficulty is don't study any maths subject at random, you must understand the basics first. For example, before you study Equations you must study Algebra; similarly, before you study Calculus, you must study equations, algebra and fractions. How much you learn depends on what you wish to do in life: science involves a certain amount of mathematics whilst social sciences such as psychology or sociology does not require a great level of maths knowledge. I can't say I'm madly in love with the subject, but I don't mind it especially when I can use it in programming or use it to solve a particular problem.

Ok, we can only learn Math when we understand the basics because Math is built from base knowledge.

I really love mathematics especially after I've discovered the television series Numbers. I like how Professor Eppes constantly come up with new mathematical theory to describe a situation in real life. This is probably explained by the fact that I love control in my life and I think mathematics portrays control over life although there is no way we can 100% control aspects of life.

I am very glad to meet you. I also love Math very much. I look Math as a good friends. But after reading your response, I'm so sad because in my country, there aren't any television programs about Math and I must use Internet to know Mathematical news.

I'm a math teacher. What do you think? There is one thing that I will say though. I believe that we should focus on learning math in how it is actually used in life. We are teaching kids all this different stuff about mathematics. That stuff is great to know, especially if you are going into a field that has a math concentration. But, really, when will they use it? I am a teacher and I ask that question. I hate it when kids ask it, because really, when can I say that they will actually need to know about how to factor polynomials. NEVER! They won't need it unless they will continue in their math endeavors. Just my opinion though!
