How do you get traffic to your blog?

For all of you bloggers out there, how do you gain traffic to your site? There are all sorts of sites that are like PTC yet you earn credits and can have them show your site, but I want more targetted views. How do you get your blog to be ranked high to get views on sites such as google? Thanks!

You need plenty of links back to your blog from other sites and other people's blogs, so wherever you are allowed to add a link to your blog do so.
You can add a link to your blog on your profile page here at myLot, and any other sites where you have a page.
Keep the blog updated with new posts so it will get a higher page rank with the search engines. Blogs will no new posts will get much lower ranking.
