My second language would be english and I think I started when I tried imitating actors that I watched from films, before attending school.. just like how they gave their lines and tried imitating them, no intention on being an actor though.. I didn't choose to learn it, it just happened I guess..

Nah, I'm not gifted. Its ironic however that I don't fully know my own language and kind'a know english more than my native language..

I only speak English but I know that the way the world is I really should learn to speak other languages but it is a hard thing for me to do because I really have no motivation to do it since everyone I deal with speaks English too, with the exception of the ones who have come here illegally (many legal immigrants to the US have learned English) and have no plans to learn English beyond basic functioning levels. I know small amounts of their language but not enough to really talk or understand them. I envy how some people can just pick up another language with no problem at all. I wish it were that easy for me. For some reason my brain just refuses to learn.

LOL that is true and no I have never been outside of this country. With the money the way it is and the world as dangerous as it is odds are I will probably not leave either. Wouldn't mind one day but I honestly don't see it happening.

LOL. if u brain refuses to learn, it means that u do not use it very often to try another language. LOL. BTW, have u been to another country whose native language is not English?
