problem installing ubuntu on HP laptop

Hi guys, I have a HP Pavilion tablet laptop and after I installed my ubuntu, my wireless, my USB and my graphic card are not working. Now, I know that this is a common problem in some of HP and DELL laptops in which they specifically made their drivers to be proprietary and not available to Linux. I also know that there are some ways to overcome this, but I am just a beginner in Linux and I don't really understand the jargons. Anyone here that had the same problems as me and had fixed it? Please help.
