Such things are surprising little events and many times I've found myself apologising such things. I mean what else could I say: Excuse me? Please apologise?

When I get to accidentally step on other people's feet and/or toes, I make sure to apologize. I really hate it when people get to step on my foot or toes and pretend that nothing happened. Well, that happens very frequently to me and I do not like the feeling when people do not care about what they have just done. I hate it most if I am wearing open-toed shoes or sandals or flip-flops.

I have seen people say I'm sorry for things that was not their fault. Accidents do happen. If someone steps on my foot, I don't even give it a second thought. There are often distractions and stuff like that. Sometimes, however, just a surprised look on your face says it all. Sometims, a simple "oops! ends the surprise. I guess if you were brought up to always say "Sorry." then I can understand but it's not required by me.
