I just graduated from A' level college and i'm looking for a job but every place i apply to says that they want someone with experience. this is particularly frustrating because i just graduated! they cant possibly expect me to have ecxperience if they dont hire me and give me the chance to get some. so i'm basically stuck. everywhere you go they want people with experience yet they dont give you the chance to get any. that is just soooooo stupid!

Instead of becoming frustrated and negative, try thinking outside the box. First, get an internship in your field. This will give you experience plus potential recommendation writers. Second, get any volunteer experience related to your field that you can. Lastly, think about how your work in courses or activities might translate into experience.

It is a difficuilt place to be in, qualified by education but practical experience to back it up. Is your career path one that utilizes internships? If so, that is a great way to get some experience under your belt. I wish you well in your search and hope that someone will open a door for you so you can get your foot in there.

I've been in that situation before and just like I got pissed off with their non sense suggestions. Well, just think that it's their lost for not accepting you in their company not yours. There are many big companies that are hiring so do not lose hope.

I'd agree its stupid. I know the situation coz I have to keep up with company's demands as i, myself am in 2nd year of my BTech degree. Most of the companies want at least a 2-5 years of experience. However, some of them do settle for an inexperienced person, if you can convince them you have more talent/skill in your field and bring them profit more than what a 5 experience will get them. For this, our college had organised a brain-storming session with a few students, about 25 and heads of some good companies. They all acknowledged thep roblem however maintained that it is the interveiw which decides if you are selected more than anything else. They are looking for inexperienced people .. so they can get more work done, more output etc, but they want to choose the right one .. hence the interveiws and the demans for experience. Dont lose hope .. You'll find something good sooner or later. Just focus on what you should do right instead of what you are lacking .. as in experience. Good Luck

what sort of job are you looking for and why not pursue your studies to earn a degree? Anyway, keep trying and don't give up. I'm sure you will find a job soon.
