are you close to your relatives?

Hi. This is one area where i am good. I have over a period of time made a conscious effort to be with my relatives, even in their busy schedule they all find out time for me because of my efforts. I love to be in company rather being alone, it helps.

I feel the degree of consanguinity is not the criteria for maintaining the good relationships.More important is the equation you share with them.I could be distant relatives but if u have good emotional bonding with them then even meeting them quite often is refreshing.If relative care for u and u too reciprocate then the level of consanguinity doesnt matter.There are relatives who are very close but u dont feel like interacting with them coz of their nature but there are some who are fair in their dealings so you like to meet them more and more.

I am not close to them. Most of them live far away from us but those who are near, they just seems to pisses me off. They just go in our house to borrow money and ask help all the time. The other members of the family have had bad memories from them that is why now that i am home, i am stricter when they go here.

I am not both my fathers and mothers side.

I am close to my relative on mother side. Because on the other hand there's a little conflict between my dad and his older brother.

no, even first cousins. i'm not that close. we do acknowledge if we happen to bump each other somewhere but we don't talk much about whatever like friends or we don't hang out ever. during our annual reunion, only few get together and talk like they have never seen each other for a century but mostly, they do talk to people whom they meet everyday. they don't mingle like they're all the same -- humans. i just don't like that.

when im young and growing up im close to my first cousins since they were our neighbor...and we constantly play when were still young..but as we grow up and get married..the closeness seems to fade due to the location...my residence is far from my hometown..and we rarely meet...and i got my own friends and likewise to them..

I am close to some of them only. Though I desire to be close to some of my kins also, it's hard for me to accomplish that because they live in far places. Also, some of them doesn't know me as well. If I would bring my mom and dad with me, they would probably know me somehow.

I know I have many relatives specially on my mother's side but I don't know any of them even one! hehe My parents ran away from their families and never came back. They didn't tell us about my grandfathers or cousins.

Yes, I am close to my relative. I knew them all. Before every sunday we had a family gathering in our house. From my first cousin to second, all my aunt and uncle was there. We ate together, had some games and even singing together.But now we have no time for reunion, I don't know maybe because some of my cousins are married and committed to their family.

I am very close to my relatives to my mother side. I know all of them up to the third degree. But in my father's side, I only know my aunts and uncle. Their children, I can't remember. Maybe I had been seeing them around like you but not knowing we came from the same bllod line. Well, thats life in my world. I don't know them if they will not introduce themselves to me. I am close up to the 2nd -3rd degree of my relatives, those who are living near us. Yes, it is hard to be close to those who are living far away from us and never see each other for a long period of time. So, then I could say, I am close to those whom we have time to be together.

i am close to my relatives and i visit them every holiday. we used to go picnic together and get some drinks with my cousins and uncles. we support each other no matter what happens to our own lives...
