Why do women oftentimes experience having pimples before their period?

Simply put, hormones. Any time your hormones become imbalanced it can trigger a breakout. With teenagers, the hormones kick in and the oil glands go crazy. Once the hormones balance out, it clears up. Other situations that can cause breakouts are menopause, pregnancy, and stressful situations.

Like everyone else says, hormones. You're lucky if you just get them pms. My hormones seem to be fighting a never ending battle. I beginning to blame a lot of things on them.

It is due to the hormonal changes that occur before our periods. The excess hormones cause our skin to become oilier and thus sometimes cause us to break out before our periods. When I stress out really badly I develop a lot of pimples too. Just our bodies doing what they do.

I think many women will suffr from pimples and breakouts before and during because of Hormones. I know I get them and that is how i know mine is sure to be on its way soon. Drives me nuts .
