Many people, especially those who knows no martial arts are questioning "could you really apply that on actual encounters or just street combats?". So tell us, have you applied the martial art you know? Was it really effective? Especially if the fight is 1 against 2 or 3.

A real fight is sure scary. There is a tendency to freeze, instead of switching to the fighting stance and defending yourself . You can easily forget all you have learned. Teh answer is to train hard and in realistic situations - problem is realistic means you have to get hurt in the dojo, which is not nice at all.

I've not had an occasion to use my martial art training but as it focuses mainly on how to defend and not just one on one but multiple attacks, I assume it will be effective. I know a lot of martial arts are taught by learning set movements and I would have thought that they wouldn't be very effective until you reach a certain level.
