Is this love?

Yesterday my roommates cried all the night and he drink a lot of beer. The reason is a girl dont want to be his girlfriend . He said that he has wait her from 1 year ago and now he failure . i dont understand that he cry for this! I am sure that i will not like him, i think a man will not pay attention on little things like this. But i want to know is this love? May be i cant get it beacuse i never find gf.

yeap it was love but one sided. it worths nothing by crying he not going to get her by just pouring tears. However he may feel relaxed... Everything we see may not be ours... its common human behavior.

If he's been chasing after her for a year and has finally found out that she doesn't want anything to do with him then I would guess he wasn't in love with her. I think that he probably projected his love for some person that doesn't exist onto her. He made her someone she was not because of course would you purposefully love someone for a year who doesn't love you? I really doubt it. Sometimes you just need to have someone to look forward to as your hope and maybe that girl was filling that slot for him. I hope that he moves on and is ok, but I don't think there was really love there.
