I think that there is a problem because America is so big and all the different regions can have their own slang! I know there are a lot of things they say on the east coast that we don't say on the west coast.

Aha, that's true. just like in China, I'm living in northeast China, but I really can't understand what a man from south China talks about. it seems they have a totally different language. if someday you come to China and learn some Chinese, i strongly recommend you to come to north China, because we speak in almost the same way. but In the south, even every city has its own speaking style. My bad means my fault. I don't understand that one sorry I can't explain it. I wish I could but I'm not a teenager or even in my 20's so a lot of the slang I heard from my children. Phat was started by the US's urban teenagers. I think my favorite slang is "hood rat" which means someone that lives in the Ghetto or at least in my area it does. That's another problem with US slang is that it is different depending on what part of the country you are from. Some words do mean the same everywhere but not all.
