Did you see the "commercial" during DOOL on Monday?

Both my husband and I about laughed our butts off during Monday's Days of Our Lives episode. One of the girls (Morgan I think it was) had cramps or something and another girl (Chelsea maybe?) ulls out Midol (I think, I don't remember now) and gives it to her. I have never seen them do this before! They zoomed in on the package, actually said the product name and then proceeded to tell each other how good it worked for all the symptoms! Stephanie actually looked like she also thought it was a hoot that they were doing that.
Do you think this will be a new trend in advertising? I mean, hardly anyone really watches the commercials - I fast forward through them.

I have not noticed that commercial before. I love the one where the dog it playing pall in the kitchen and the announcer says "someday a yard to play in". and it is a wells fargo commercial.

You are right. Some are just obnoxious. What I find is obnoxious seems to be someone else's favorite.

I have seen this a few times on other shows as well. I think it is a new trend as we all ignore commercials now lol. It is so funny to see but before long we wont even notice.

I had heard a discussion on this at work. It seems that with recording technology being able to eliminate the commercials, that this is the new method. I heard that it was being protested with the Federal Trade Commission or whoever is over all of that.

I saw this on YouTube recently. I get why Days does it. They have to do what they have to do to keep the money coming in so the show can go on. But can't they be a bit more discreet with the product placement? There was a recent one where Chloe was talking about some magazine as well.

Oh wow, I must have missed that one. I did miss about a week when I was on vacation.
I know they need to make money to run the show and that most people don't watch the commercials anyways. I really thought it was funny that the girls were kinda making fun of the fact that they had to do this commercial during the show.
