Supreme Court rejects death penalty for felons who have raped a child!!!!!!!!!!!

45 states ban the death penalty for any kind of rape. The only state that do impose it Montana,Oklahoma, south Carolina and Texas. That is only if they have been previously convicted of rape. I Do not understand this! These people get taps on the hands, if they are lucky get short sentence for these crimes while the victim is tormented by it for the rest of their lives. They sever their sentence and then go out and do it again. You would think they would try and prevent another child from getting hurt. If they got the death penalty it might cut down on pervert doing this disgusting stuff. I think this is unacceptable. What is wrong with are court system that they can not protect our children. This is disturbing to me.

It might also be the fact that most states have privately owned jails and the stock hoders make money as well. Sad but true. I heard that the texas state privately prison stock was the amoung the one highest traded stocks. Speaking of Montana, they send all there Big timers to the state of Texas to do their time and the tax payers flip the bill.

My thoughts are why should we pay for the hot meal and room and board when they have done some thing so horrible and unforgivable? I think life in prison is to good for them. They have it better in there then some of the people out here. I do think some prisoners can not function on the outside world. so when they get out they do another crime because they know no other way. I do not think a rapist can change. They are wired wrong in the brain. I did not know that some prisons were private owned. I can see why they ship them to Texas. It all dessert and no where to go. Who can stand the heat for long if they got away.

I cant agree more! But people in the USA who pay the taxes do continue to support the system and others make money from it. Seems to a vicious circle that really dicusts me as well!

Ever heard of any studies that list how many rapist have done time for any unrelated rape crimes. Then later after doing time and getting let back in to society commit rape. Maybe the system helps create them in way cause when they get out of jail after being controlled belittle and have no money no life and even more importantly no mate they find rape as the only thing they can do. And after being institutionalized for so long they feel more comfortable in jail. So what do they care? I am not making excuses for them by any means...I am only pointing out how sad the system is. I have a friend how has a daughter 19 yrs old who was friends with someone who was big into drgs. chemicls. she was caught with nothing and just cause she new them they are giving her 8 yrs fed time. What is she going to be like after 8 yrs? She will be 27 when she gets out. What shes needs is a treatment program! Who flips the bill for her 8 years? Its all sad but true and the more I know the more saddened I am!

It is very disturbing and sick! I'm in one of the states that rejected it but our Governor is outraged and will work to reverse this law in Louisiana. Yay!

I wonder to if it is about money. The goverment makes money when these guys get out and are on probation. There are so many fees they have to pay .
