Is America a nice place?Which bits are the nicest? / myLot

I'm thinking about going to the US to go travelling, and i'm even slightly interested in working there (i'm a microbiologist btw). Which bit of the country is the nicest?

Go to the Northwest (Seattle) in the summer preferably June, July or August. It's beautiful then. Go to southwest Sanibel Island, Fort Myers Beach, Florida in Jan, Feb and March. :)

Naahh..go because there's much more to Seattle than that. There's concerts, lots of restaurants, a terriffic view from Alki Beach at night, ferries, The Experience Museum, Safeco Field and much more.
