Do you feel that you should lie to kids? What if they ask you about Santa Claus? Where do you lie and where do you not lie to kids as a teacher?

I don't have kids but if I do have them some day I won't lie to them. I think it just makes them distrust people. I don't think it's cute or funny for children to believe in Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny or any other things people tell children. I don't even know why people do it.

Would you let your kids believe in Santa until they ask you about it? I think that lying ot htem and if they were to find out would make them distrust you and it is very hard for people to gain trust back from people.

Everyone lies and that is a fact. Most people do it on their drivers license when they say they weigh less than they actually do. It doesn't make it right though. I think there are times when you don't need to tell kids or people the whole truth. it doesn't mean you have to lie, but you don't have to tell them everything. For example, if a police officer went to someones house to tell them there was an accident and they had lost a loved one, the police officer doesn't have to lie but he doesn't have to go into all the details about how nasty the scene was or that the person must have really suffered. I think there are ways to tell the truth without telling the whole truth.
