have you asked you parents what with your name? i mean why they chose that name for you? my parents say that my name name is a combination of my dad, mom and my 2 grandmothers from both sides.. but my name is very common so i really dont buy thier idea lols...my lola (grandmother) however told me that it came from a saint of love... but then i chose to believe my parents becoz my older sister is the combination of my parents name as well as the my younger sister (came after me)...so thier is a pattern so i chose to believe them anyways...lols what about you?

I was named for a character in my father's favorite movie, Gone With The Wind. No, my name isn't Scarlet! However, the name they chose from the movie was an uncommon name in our area at the time, and seemed to fit nicely for my parents, and so I was given the name Melanie. I do seem to remember though, that the name Melanie was given the meaning of Goddess of Evil And Darkness by one name book. Explains my jaded and opinionated outlook on life!

yeah...scarlet will be my guess if you didnt mentioned melanie...i even forgot the character sorry...but still you have a cute name..it is actually a name of a model here in our country and formerly ms. international...
