Water use for cooking

Recently I read an article in nytimes that cold water from tap are good for cooking than hot water of tap.What is your view regarding this topic.

i dont think there is anything that is significant cause the water will be boiled anyway. hehe

I have never heard of this but I think the effect will be the same since it will be boiled while cooking anyways. Using the cold water is better though because of course you use less energy by not using the hot water.
