What about you guys think will happen in the summer?? At the north pole the sun is permanently above the horizon during the summer months and permanently below the horizon during the winter months. The north pole is significantly warmer than the south pole becuase it liews at sea level in the middle of an ocean. The sea ice in north pole was around two to three meters thick but becuase of global warming it has started to decrease. Mark Serreze , a scientist , told in interview that by the end of summer 2008 there might be more ice in the north pole. If it happens than there would be ice in other parts of the artic ocean, possibly some places that havent had snow before might snow. So what you think if your place started snow when it never snow before??

Hi! Yeah for me all of this is quite possible but what I dont believe in this information is that I know that it migiht happen but I dont think it will happen this year. Its too soon. I know the earth is titling in its axis and its all a part of nature but to say that having the ice age and extreme shifts in weather patterns this summer (not summer here by the way, its the typhoon season though) is a bit over the top. If I read this maybe sometime in the next 50 years I would have agreed. I know that the weather all over the world is a whacked and all but I think we still have time to live our lives to the fullest. In the worlds history that phenomenon already happened. I mean places where its normally hot would experience hail or snow and places that are usually cold would be extremely hot. Anyways, I just hope that this phenomenon wont happen again at least not in our immediate lifetimes.

Oh boy i thought there would not be anyone to post in this discussion. What you say is true, but sometimes this scientist come up with theories and formulas that can make people get pissed about such things. At one point they say one thing and another point they say another. They are not being able to come togather to revise on a decision. But anyway thanks for your response on this.

LOL! You're welcome.^_^ Yeah they do say such things. Thats why sometimes I dont believe what scientists say. I do believe in science but sometimes the way the scientists interpret the facts are a bit out of mark, dont you think? They do have a nasty habit of changing their minds dont they and the rest of us just believe them because we dont really know anything about it then learn that we got fooled just because they made a mistake. Thanks for the info by the way.^_^

Agreed. Bit sometimes it is just frustrating when they do. It like as if they want thier names to go down in history just becuase they came up with theories. Or maybe just create a hype to get attention. The media is also at fault becuase they publish such work without a proper and indepth research such issues. It can really cause panics around.
