Which is the fastest processor commercially available in the market today also the fastest one but not yet commercially available ?

Quad Core if you're someone who likes running.. a LOT of programs/browswers/etc, otherwise you might just want to stick to a Dual Core if you just want one for gaming.

I've heard intel has release intel quad core extreme, which have more than 3.0GHz on clock speed. CMIIW.

i think the quad core processor from intel ios the fastest processor at present.. the clock speed of it range formn 2.4 to 3.0+ GHz...

I am not sure but I think it is the Intel quad core duo.That is the last last one I heard.I am also not sure about amd's.

intel QX9770 Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core processor. I guess, but this is what the other dudes said.
