President Bush signing a new war bill

Why would our President sign a new war bill, when the people in this country are hurting with the high oil and gas prices? I think he should help us here rather than signing a war bill. Our country is in financial straits and we need the money here to help us out. What do you all think?

This might be another polical move to get attention of the people towards the party but i feel this cant overshadow the more important things like the financial crisis in which the american market is. The risk of high inflation and slowing housing demand. The iraq war seems to have not taught the president that wars are not going to add to the betterment of the world economy.
