Macbook Pro or Microsoft?

Ok so I've been using regular computers (microsoft) for a long time now but I'm starting to fall for apple and the macbook pro. What do you guys think of the macbook pro? Will it compare to a microsoft xp/vista laptop? What do you like so much about the macbook or any other apple computer?
