Are aeropostale, american eagle, hollister and ambercrombie and finch a chain? Many of their clothes are very similar in their stores?

A chain is defined as any company that operates multiple stores under the same name. Thus, all of the stores you mentioned are chains.

Are they owned by the same company then? becuse all of those dont have the same name?

Each chain is owned by a company. Some companies own more than one chain. It gets confusing!

I would say they are since there are many of them all over the country.
