Does love makes us do crazy things?

I was listening to the radio and there was a lady who called the program to share her story. She said she is so in love with a man she met some years ago she gave him everything she thought he would want to make him happy. She said she abandoned her children and took his (the man) children in, she even went as far as to take their responsibility upon her self.she was jealous and so she would follow the man around watching him,before she know it her life was chaos. He started cheating and abusing her. she became stressed and the option of leaving him was inexistent. She was blinded by her love for him. She lost her job and he left with his children to live with another woman. and so she decided to commit suicide. she was saved not by the man but her nieghbours and today she does not belive that life is worth living without him. do you belive that love can make us stupid?

well i think it's no longer love in her case. i'd say that she is obsessed with him instead. it's very unhealthy to be obsessed with anything, let alone a human being.
to me, love is being happy when your loved on is happy. obesession, on the other hand, requires possession before one is happy. hopefully we can all open both our eyes big enough to spot obsession from love. cheers :D

Love can surely blind us from what is right in front of us. I would never go with a man that would make me leave my own children behind, especially with me being a woman, the one who birthed the child. My fiance would never have let me leave my children behind if I had any, and I know that I wouldn't be with him he had ever thought of making me leave anything so precious behind. I am sure I will get 1000 times ridiculed, but I believe in some way she brought this upon herself with the jealousy. It was not right of the man to do that, and I will surely say that with great emphasis. However, she has gotten herself so wrapped up in him that she does not know left from right or right from wrong. I do hope that her heart heals from this man and she moves on, because no man is worth your tears and the one who is won't make you cry. Have a Great day.
