1984 caddillac no start diagnoses, cold condition only

I have a 1984 4100 v8 rwd car and it won't start when cold. warm is always ok, never stumbles or anything after warm. I have to bump the ignition key for at least 30 times before it stays running, when cold, the fuel pressure is within specs and lots of spark as well. i can see the fuel spray in the throttle body when someone else cranks the engine. any suggesstions ? and where is the coolant temp sensor located ? also the check engine light has been on for many months. I bought the car like this last fall. thanks from garry
