Newzealand has crushed Ireland by 290 runs in 1st ODI of tri series. Newzealand batting first score 402 runs in their 50 overs with the loos of only 2 wickets. Both the openers scored over 150 runs. Brendom mcCullum made 166 and James Marshall made 161 In reply, Ireland were all out for just 112 runs and lost the match by 290 runs with alot of new records have been made. for details: www.cricinfo.com/scotland/engine/current/match/325554.html Do you feel it is logical to include these matches against weaker opponents as internatioanl ODI's?!?! In this way, the minnors will be crushed and new records will be made constantly

its a chicken or egg situation for the ICC, unless these minoos are allowed to play with the big boys they will not graduate to the top level and if they are allowed obviously records are going to get created, so this is an unavoidable situation and this is going to continue until ICC gathers some 24 full time cricket playing nations, once they have that many countries playing the game icc can stipulate the level of standards to be achieved by the other teams to compete with the top teams, but under the current situation this is totally unavoidable. I feel cricket has a bright future, especially the 20-20 version, big teams should initially play only 20-20 with the small ones, and 20-20 can do wonders to the development of cricket.

I think they should play cricket but the stats should not be counted. Let them play as much as they want, but let the record books some rest

that wont work coz international players will not be motivated to play if their stats are not counted, if thats the case its better to make the minoos play against the A team or B team of the respective countries... that means they will not get to play against the best... if they have to play against the best then there is no other option other than to get thrashed a couple of times...

cricket - not a big deal
sure the margin is big and certainly is a world record but this cannot be remembered as the greatest victories in the cricket history. this victory has not any remarkable thing other than the margin. the status of both countries are just like land and sky. the associated countries don't have professional structure and they play the game only for time pass. in soccer if brazil defeats india by a margin of 20 goals, its not a big deal, it might be the world record, but who cares
