So you think you can dance: Tonight's episode 7/2

Chelsea and Mark are definitely the front runners in my book. The are simply astounding and dance so well together and with such heart. You can really believe that the truly like to dance with each other and they dance extremely well! Some people can say it's just the luck of the draw when couples pull out dances with stupendous choreography (such as workaholic dance to Bleeding Love), but I beg to differ. If you recall from last season, Sabra pulled out many a dance that generally are pretty boring, imo, like the quickstep with Pasha that they blew out of the water and the paso doble with Nick that had an unforgettable ending. (I personally think they should outlaw the paso doble from the show now, how many more variations of matador and his cape can they do - though the Twitchington performance was actually kind of neat). After Mark and Chelsea, I think Katee and Joshua will go very far in the competition. Again, they have pulled out some obsure dances and choreography, but they've managed to pull them off - and pull them off well! Kerrington and Twitch are another couple who I think will go very far, but ultimately, I don't think either of them will win the competition. I actually quite like Gev and Courtney. They haven't been as well received the last few times, but I believe they have it in them to stay at least til the top 6 or top 8. Courtney more so than Gev though. For singles, I see Will going far. It's true that his partner, Jessica, is dragging him down a bit. However, I think the judges have been very harsh on her, more so than she deserves. Maybe their criticisms are a form of reverse psychology - they think it'll help build up her skin and subsequently her self-esteem. But I don't really see that happening yet. Once the couples are split, I think she'll be one of the first gone. My least favorite are smiley-guy Thane and hip-hopper Comfort. Thane just seems so fake to me and Comfort is a great hip-hopper but her solos are getting repetitive. I was actually surprised that this couple beat out Kourtni and Matt this week.

I don't know any of their names, but the bulky black fellow who sounds like Mike Tyson who is partnered with the Asian girl: they were the best last night.

I'm sooo bummed because I was running around during the episode cooking dinner and stuff, but I thought my DVR was recording it. About 1/2 way through I realized the DVR was broke! Aargh. So I only saw a few of the routines or part of routines. But from what I saw . . . I am lovin' Chelsea and Mark too. Its between them and Joshua and Katee for me. However, I love Will too. He just needs a new partner. I did not expect to like Mark as well as I do. It's not for the usual reasons, but I've been so surprised by him each week that I'm becoming a huge fan. Courtney and Gev are fading for me. They're great, but the competition is getting fierce. Courtney L. and Matt have about run their course too. I actually like the ballroom dance that Comfort and Thayne did (didn't see the other one) but I don't think it's enough to save them. Kerrington and Twitch are beautiful dancers but I'm just not digging on them as much as Katee/Joshua/Mark/Chelsea. Not sure why, but I thought the Mia Michaels dance they did was cool. Well, now I'll have to watch all the dances on Youtube or something (wah). I'll comment again if I see anything else.
