Sandcastles

I remember going to the beach as a child with my little metal pail and plastic shovels to make sandcastles. When I grew up I took my own child to the beach to do the same thing. It's something that all kids love to do.
The open competition in California starts next weekend for sandcastles. Wow, mine never looked like this. My brother emailed me with some of the winning entries from past competitions. This is just one of the fantastic creations.
Do your kids get creative with wet sand? Anything close to the picture?

I wish that I could do the castles that they can do, I guess I just didn't have it in me,. but I to this day wish I could do what they do. It is amazing, all I could do was put sand in a bucket and dump it over. , put that was ok for me and my son.

I know what you mean. The best I could hope for was those little plastic molds of starfish and such. It must take great talent to do what these people do with sand. And then it all washes away with the high tide.
