What is the browser I need to be sure my website works in, before any other, to be sure I can view it in all browsers? I understand there are a lot of issues with browsers, but I'm trying to figure out what is best to use when developing a website... I've changed from IE to Firefox for fasting browsing, but I can't get a website to show the same in both. Is multiple css the best way to overcome this? Or is there an easier way?

I check in Firefox first then fix the IE quirks. I would say use Opera or Safari first since they are supposed to be more standards compliant, but it seems silly to do that then worry about Firefox and IE after which cover pretty much all the market share. Try write to standards as best you can and not put it too much extra crap to make IE work. IE 6 in particular I wouldn't even test on that will phase out quickly over the next year.
