I am wondering because I heard someone say that they were referred for a sleep study?
Why would a doctor want to study someone sleeping? I think that it would be hard to go to sleep with someone watching me don't you?
I would not like that at all. what about you do you think you would like to be in a sleep study.

A sleep study the best I understand it is to check to see if someone has sleep apnea, basically you have to either go spend the night at the hospital or the doctors office, and they hook you up to all kinds of wires so they can see if you stop breathing when your sleeping or check to see if your heart rate is different somehow than it should be, or just a variety of things,
they check for abnormal behaviour when your sleeping or something.
I think the doctor may give you a sleeping pill to make sure you go to sleep, I would not be able to go to sleep knowing that I was being watched would you? even if it was for some kind of medical reason.
anyway, i think most of the time a sleep study is just a lot of wasted money, but i don't know maybe it is helpful for some people some times.

Oh, thanks for the information. I guess if this is for a good purpose why not. And if you were sleeping because of the pill, you will definitely not be worried if you were staring by the doctor. For some reason, this is necessary for the doctor or a nurse to check your sleeping activities during the night. So they can be able to identify if there's anything wrong and what medicine would be prescribe for the patient. If I was your friend, I can take it.
