Which is the toughest language to learn..?

It's hard to learn German if you aren't from Germany. But Japanes and Chinese are also hard.

I'm a poor guy.. I know only English.. :-) But I got an information that, the chinese language has scripts(alphabets) around 15,000.. Now, U tell me which is much tougher and hard to learn... :-)

I would say (for me) probably chinese or japanese. Or maybe russian. But I come from an English speaking country (as a first language, I mean). Because of all the weird rules and exceptions though, I would have to say the hardest language to learn just might be English.

I discussed the same thing with my friends.. Every noe voted for chinese only.. Their justification is that they can able to learn German & others.. But not Chinese.. I'm a poor guy.. I know only English.. :-)

i agree with u, chinese and japanes, maybe arab they all seem extremely difficult. Ive seen on tv, series with chinese subtitles, i dont really know how theyre able to see those symbols from far away. i cant distinguish them. also arab i just see a line that goes from right to left. extremely hard. i prefer a, b, c, etc. ive heard one chinese symbol could be a whole sentence, how do they read that

Yeah I agree Chinese is the toughest language to learn
