Hi,several days ago I was planning to start this discussions. BUT as you know,my feeling is complicated. Is China a rich country?Absolutely not!It has a population of 1.5 billion........such a "surprising" fact!So I guess it will be poor for a long time becaust of the huge population. OK,then my question is,how do you think of this country? Thank you for your answer!

i'm sorry but i have some questions. i don't think it's the huge population that pulls the pace of the development of economy, bur just the oppsite. if we don't have so much population how can we get a high rate at the GDP increase.

Hello dear dongsting. Well, I have to say that China is still a developing country. I am so happy that it is developing at a fast speed with the right leadership our government. It is right of our government to focus more on the development of economy. People's living standard has been greatly improved ever since the reform and open policy from the early eighties, although poverty is still seen in some backward rural areas. It takes time for those western areas of China to catch up with the pace of the east part of China. Large population as we have, the population in big cities is aging, which is also a big problem. Of course, the population problem is also one of the reasons that pulls the pace of economic development of China. From the long run of the policy made by the government, I am very confident in our country in every way, the great progress ever made in history can be seen positively, although there is still so much for us to improve. In history of every country, there is a great and hard progress before one country becomes an advanced one. So, my dear new friend, I hope that you are as positive as I am while looking at the fast development as I am. Make complicated feelings as easy as ABC and I am sure that you will see more perspectives of our own country. Thanks a lot for the discussion and thank you so much for adding me as your friend. Have a good day, dongsting.

China as a whole may not be a rich country, but there are some large cities that are. China is one of the fastest growing economies of the world and at this rate could surpass the U.S. in the future as being the most powerful economy in the world. The thing is that China is so huge that outside of the big cities China is still very poor. The thing China has in its favor is its large labor force that is willing to work for very low wages. This is what many call the China price and race to the bottom. Who can produce what for the lowest possible price? Chinese laborers are driving prices for production so low that many companies cannot compete on this level. China and India makes up a third of the world's population. China has become quite the developed country and may become the next big powerhouse of the future.
