starting a selling bussiness

my husband's family bussiness bis selling px goods and some of their city's native biscuits and homemade polvoron coated with chocolates and my aunt's small bussiness is handmade jewelries and knitted/crochetted stuff for kids... so we decided that we want to try to sell our stuff online particularly at ebay either philippines or internationally... i was wondering if anybody could please lend me some insights on how we could start our bussiness... which couriers here in the philippines would be best.... how we can improve our market... and also if we should start our own website for our market....
