The other day I was browsing and saw this little computer on sale, I thought, in the electronics store near where I live, the ASUS EEEPC4G, now there are other little portables with 7" screens but what stood out was the price it cost a third less then some of it's 7" competitors and about the same as a really cheap portable. It is not a powerful computer, with a 900 mhz Intel Celron or 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom according to wiki and the rest was a 512 DDR2 memory and 4G hard drive, they seem to be called netbooks again according to wikipedia. As it very small it is ideal for a child has very little memory 4G thus making it ideal for browsing pages and homework. What do you think about it?

If you want to read up more about it go to wikipedia and search for ASUS EEEPC4G it has a comprehensive history about the origin, but no first hand comments on functionality.

yeah i too saw one and was amazed by its size and portability... i think its set to replace the so called bulky laptops... and regarding performance ..yes its low..but being protable os the most important thing for a laptop..
