is "VM303-sti.exe" a virus???

if it is, how could I get rid of it?.. somebody could help me with this prob???

hi mizzJhaded.. "VM303-sti.exe" is a malware well u must download some tools its called "The Avenger" to remove it i wanna suggest some site for details forums.techguy.org/malware-removal-hijackthis-logs/612000-solved-another-one-those-security.html good luck...

i think format ur computer this is the best way to get rid of viruses completely , i use to do the same i am sugesting

What they said is right, search the internet. I have the same thing in my system too, because I use a web cam. I think it is essential part of the program that makes my web cam run on my system.

I am not a techie person but I searched online and found the following information - that ir belongs to the software BIGDOG by Vimicro. that it may be found in the Windows folder but it is not a Windows Core file. that, based on my reading, it affects user webcams. I would suggest you re-install your webcam if it is identified as the source. or, run an anti-virus or task security manager or perform windows check. Good day!

just from the name of file no one can tell whether its virus or not. some viruses attach itself to the original .exe(excutable) and make it corrupt if you use execute that corrupt file your system will get infected. some viruses use the name of folder and create .exe(executable) with same name. It's very difficult to find out a file is virus or not with just name of file. you must scan that file with some good antiviruse like Norton,Nod32 etc. to find out.
