Yes I do agree that TV has bad effect not only on children but on nowadays youngsters also. TV has both its good and bad effects, but I can see mostly bad effects. The todays films are influencing youngsters lots. The crimes and violence in movies are often repeated in real life. I think one must intelligently choose what to watch and what not on TV.

yes i agree. there are so many harsh words being exchanged on tv, as well as bad deeds. sometimes, when kids see or hear things, they are not sure if they are correct so they really need guidance. but there are times that we cannot always be there to explain everything to them. they also have the tendency to remember all those things in their mind, whether they are good or bad. another is tv steals the activeness in the kid's body. instead of using their mind and body, they would just sit on the tv and observe. they need to do physical activities such as sports or piano lessons, etc. as early as possible.

I think it all depends on what channel is on the tv when the child is in the room. I wouldn't consider stations like PBS or Nick Jr. harmful to little ones. I mean, there isn't anything wrong with Sesame Street right? I think that its up to the parents to be well informed and pay attention to how their kids are growing up.
