How do you handle dry spells?

Psalm 42 and 43 please read like the journal of a believer in the throes of a spiritual dry spell. The psalmist cries out. "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?... why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me?
What has happened when the Bible becomes dry and boring?--especially when it used to be so wonderful? Why did you lose your desire?

I know what the Psalmist was saying. When you feel like your whole life is dry and dehydrated. That is when you have to go to the living water for refreshing. Sounds cheesy but some times you need to long for the Lord. Chasing Him.
