I think all the senior players including Sachin should be now given rest from one day internationals. It is high time the BCCI did that. Let them play test cricket and let the one day team have more fresh blood. If we are to build a team for the next decade then we should start giving all the senior players red signal from one dayers.

for one day games they should be left because we want young brigade...But for test matches we should include them in team...Because their experience gets counted..They are most experienced in our team and in test matche s experience is most important...

I think this should be decided on the perfornmance. not just mere age. look at Jaysuriya what is he doing at 39 years! Also experience counts.

hai everybody, Now we are having a young Indian cricket team, and we have to give them lot of opportunities to play around many tournaments to gain experience in International cricket as it is lightly differ from domestic cricket, and it will need consistancy for a player to stick on the game for some period to improve their skills. so replacing the young squad with seniors for some sessions will not be opt for them to gain experience. We are also have to develop a New Players like Dravid, ganguly and Sachin in our new team to face the International competition to the World cup. As such things are happening only after our previous team with senior batsmen lose the opportunity to get the World cup, And the young team winning the 20-20 World cup, So there is no way except to drop the seniors. But We are also having IPL which is a boom for our senior players to show their talent and also to earn a lot. Thanks.

The selectors have started to look at the future. Right from the CB series in Australia, the signal was given to Rahul,Sourav that they were not a part of the ODI in the future and Laxman has not figured in ODI's for sometime. Indian team is going through a transition phase. So its the correct thing to drop the seniors for the youngsters. Sachin is still a vital member of the team. He is needed to guide the young players now. If he had been present during the Asia cup I feel the result might have been different. But incase of Dada and Rahul, they are finished as ODI players
