My Daughter's Best Friend

My daughter just asked me a few minutes ago if I would buy her a "best friends" necklace for her birthday (which isn't until January). I told her that we would have to see, but maybe I could get it for her. She asked me, "Do you know who I want to give the other half of the necklace to?" I asked, "Who?" She said, "Well, I want to give it to you, but I'd also like to give it to Isabelle(her cousin)". It made me smile that she thinks of me as one of her "best friends". I told her that it was okay, if she got the necklace she could give the other half to Isabelle. She told me that maybe she could get 2 necklaces and then she could give 1 to me and 1 to Isabelle. I just thought that it was really sweet. She is only 7 years old and I hope she always continues to think that I'm her "best friend" forever.

Hi my friend, Your daughter sounds like a real sweetheart! It is so nice to see a young girl be able to have it in her heart to want something to share with someone else. A lot of kids these days are so greedy and want things just for themselves. And it is extra special because she wants her mommy to be her best friend too. I bet she really warms your heart. Have a good evening! Char :-)
