How would you tell your in-laws that you're moving out?

My husband and I are planning to move out in my in-laws house before the year ends. My only worry is my father in-law is so close to my 2 1/2 yrs old son. We might encounter some problems when it comes to leaving. not with my son but to my father in-law. i mean, he might stop us from leaving... What should we do? What's the best way of telling him that we need to live on our own? Your thoughts...

It's really a big problem.. you need to explain to your son that you need to leave and then try to explain to talk to your father in law that you are very shy because you are staying at their house.
