Do you guys prefer to see a NEW movie you havent seen or a classic movie you havent seen? I'm just curious because at times I am more excited to watch an older movie that I haven't seen before, than seeing a new movie. Newer movies are just not as good as most of the older ones.

I like watching new movies. There's just something about older movies I dont like. I like seeing new actors and new ideas in the newer movies and some of them arent half bad. How old are you anyway, you seem to be as old as an old movie hahahaha.

Hi AK A very good point :-) I am older!! and growing up in the 70's I never watched the old classics, I felt it boring at the time. However the more I learned and the more I understand the importance of the first films of their type become more lasting and rewarding when you see them. In my opinion, the vast majority of so called new films are remakes, copies, or even worse sequels. The Hollywood making machine (i.e. merchandised films) makes 'new' films, quick and fast to make money, not necessarily to make a good one. Where as films like The Tokyo Story, The General, King Kong 1933, some best films ever made, never get a look in. I look at 90% of films from 1900 to today, and once in awhile a new film, if the story is original. Frank

Older ones... for example, the James Bond movies are much better when Sean Connery or Roger Moore had the lead parts. The new movies are more technical but they lack the excitement that was present in the older movies of the series.
