Playing Guitar And Making New Friends

I would say that learning to play guitar has made my life more interesting and has gained me a lot more friends. I wanted to play guitar when I was in my early 20s but things just didn't go the way I thought and life moved on. When I hit 47 I went to a party that was put on by one of my computer students and my life changed. He had heard me talk about how I wished I had learned to play so many years ago and they brought an extra guitar to the party and the rest is history. Just this past Sunday I went to a guitar jam thinking I knew who was going to be there but I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was only one person I knew there, the one who invited me. I made four new friends, three play guitar and one loves to sing along. What a great time and great way to make new friends. What activities do you do that helps you make new life long friends?
