Some tips on saving on electricity... 1)Call your electric company to see if they offer any programs to help you save. Ours has an "on call" program that saves about $5 a month (for me). Some offer programs to help you get your home better insulated, more efficient, etc. 2) Turn down the temperature on your water heater. If you have young children you should do this anyway so your children can't accidently scald themselves. Also consider getting a timer for your water heater so it's not heating all day long. Before I was home with children, we could turn our water heater off before going to work and still come home to hot hot water. 3) Get a programmable thermostat for your heating/air conditioning. Program it so your air/heat won't run as much during times you are not home.

How about unplugging appliances that have clocks and lights on? (Such as a microwave) That can suck out a lot of watts in a month.

Good one! And our downfall - leaving the TV on even when no one is really watching!
