I don't know if any of you have heard of their new invention. Placing solar panels on the roof of a car, to keep an air conditioner powered while the car is parked, so that when you return to your car, it is not stifling hot in it. Same thing in the winter (yes, there is still sun light even if it is cold) - to keep the heater powered while the car is turned off. No fuel wasted, and using free energy to an advantage.

That's a great idea and a great invention. I think it ought to have a timer however, since some people don't drive as much as others. For example, the elderly might only get out of the house once or twice a week, so they really wouldn't need it to run continuously or as much as someone who drives their car at least daily or several times a day. Also, people that use their garage might not be able to benefit from this as much, although it would be helpful when they are not home and parked in a hot parking lot when shopping, for instance. I would love this for my car! The solar panels should help with the A/C as well as features such as radio and lights, that way the battery wouldn't be used as much and much more energy and resources would be saved. I officially LOVE this idea of solar panels on the roof of the car and am excited!
