how often do you pray?

The Bible tells us to "pray without ceasing...for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Thes. 5:16-18). I don't believe that this means we go about in a constant state of prayer. I mean really, not many of us are that good at multitasking and we've got other things to do. What I believe it means that that we are ever mindful of the presence of God in our everyday lives and that we maintain that communion with God which Christ bought and paid for us to have. So how often do I pray? I pray without ceasing and I pray without ceasing because God's presence in my life never ceases.

I don't know how many times i pray each day because i always pray every time i feel happy, i feel lonely, when i see a street children or an old woman asking for loose change. I keep it a habit to talk to God because He is the only one that would give as everything we need and not just the things we want. Prayers for me is the best way to solve my troubles and the best way to talk to God.

Hi there! Oh I always pray everyday. Actually I always talk to God and I consider that my way of praying. Theres no specific time. I just tell him everything thats happening to me. I also do novenas. I have several patron saints. There was even a time several years ago that I went to mass everyday for 2 years. But I can't go to mass everyday now. Have lots of things to do. But if I have time I still visit the church even if its not sunday mass. I don't know. Ever since I was a kid. I love visiting the church always. Ciao!

I set aside time in the morning but I also talk to God throughout the day. One thing I have noticed is that when I do this it is very easy to feel good and have an overall positive outlook.

i admit it. most of the time i forget to pray even before going to sleep. the only time i never forget to pray is when i have problems. i'm sorry. i also never forget to pray and thank Him if i received blessings. both ends i guess, that's the time i never forget to pray. but during routine days, when nothing special or worst is actually happening, that's the time i forget to pray. and thanks for this discussion. i realize that i should pray often. thank you.:)

Hi maniolas, I try to pray everyday. I have also been working on reading the bible daily as well. It's best to have a good relationship with God and those routes help a lot since we communicate with Him through His word and through prayer.

i always pray, whenever i feel bad, whenever im sick, when i am happy i say thank you, when i am confused i pray for enlightenment, i always talk to God when i have problems, and when blessing come into me. and i feel great
