Lamb: The Bible according to Biff (Jesus's childhood friend)

I was recommended this book by a friend a couple years ago. It may come across a bit offensive to some, but is actually fairly humorous. The book definitely has some of those laugh out loud moments, especially when it attempts to come up with theories for events that occur in the real bible. Has anyone read this? I recommended it to my mom and she liked it for the first half, and then thought it got way off track, which I agree it does a bit. But after a couple of reads I like the entire book.
