Hello!First off i don't really know if there is already discussion of this kind, but i would like to know which programming languages do you know? If you didnt know already programming languages are used to make programs like: MSN, antivirus software and every piece of program you can think off:) Also games are made by programming language. I myself know Visual Basic, C++, little java, PHP, MySQL. If you are wondering if mylot is made by programming language i can answer that yes it is. I believe and i am quite sure MyLot is made by PHP and MySQL. Now people, tell me what do you know about programming languages and which programming languages do you know or you want to learn:)

Only what I've picked up myself. I'm competent in HTML, though I'd have to have a cheatsheet or reference book nearby to do anything major, I used to be able to do all kinds of things in TinyMUSH softcode, which is remarkably similar to C/C++. I have a smattering of that, too. I'm guessing a lot of MyLot is Java-based, as it invokes the RTE a lot, particularly on the homepage and profile. MySQL/PHP would be an obvious environment for it, or any major website, to run in nowadays. Beyond that, I don't know a lot, really. A little BASIC, which probably shows my age more than anything ;)

Yeah, they're pretty standard nowadays. Like so many things, though, I'm perfectly happy to use the end results without knowing how they work ;)

I have learnt c and c++ at university. I am not expert, and bad is i have forgotten much of it, but at least i am aware of the difficulties in other languages. I have also worked on AVR languages, for microprocessors. Sometime i wanna learn java and php, but sadly i got no much time now.

Cool, in university. Yeah time is problem for me too. I have so much to do in each day that learning programming always gets to midnight times and then i am too tired and its wasteful then to learn anything as you will forget everything when you wake up .

Hmmm i know python, perl and Object oriented programming. Databases SQL, stored procedures, etc. Java does help people code better with ease but i love the age old languages as they give me flexibility. Happy programming

Yeah the old languages are usually better than the new ones. I like them more too to be honest. Its just that the lack of support for the old languages is decreasing all the time

Hehe, i don't know much python. Actually i don't know it pretty much at all. I should though and see how its like. I want to find the best language for me . Like c++ is way too hard to go from easy games to professional games for me .

(X)HTML / CSS I don't really consider programing languages, but I know both rather fluently. I have dabbled in PHP and am currently learning Perl and MySQL. I've also read a bit about RubyScript and Java, but haven't really done much with either. One day I hope to program video games, so I'll likely have to learn some C, too.

Cool, you can program in assembly? That is pretty amazing to be honest even if its little. . I would never understand anything from that language, its way too complicated for me.

I know (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, C++, C, PHP, ASP, SQL, ActionScript, Java, Python, and some Perl. I've only been scripting/programming for about 5 years, and know a good bit about it. Luke
