The website on my profile is the right place for such people. It is my endeavour to create a comprehensive guide to earning online (and offline too). It explains everything from how to create paypal/moneybookers account to Google adsense/adwords program to freelance job boards. The emphasis is on the types of work that involve a bit of effort but get you very good rewards. You will find a reference list listing a lot of links that you can explore. Of course, this is free, there are no referral links, nothing of that sort. And who ever wants to add anything, anything that you think I am missing but should be included there, he or she can respond here, and I will try to add that to my site. I do want to popularize my site, of course, but I also want to create a site that really helps someone rather than asking for hits on referrals or other consideration.
